A schottky diode also called as schottky barrier diode, It is made up of 2 junction
- Unlateral Junction
- Bilateral Jnction
The schottky diode act as terminal device in which metal and semiconductor forword at one end act as anode with unilateral junction metal 2 and semiconductor fromed at other end act as cathode with bilateral junction.
Working
Applying forward bias the voltage applied to diode and their corresponding current is measured the VI curve is drown for schottky diode as compared with PN junction diode.
As per VI curve during forward bias for a schottky diode increase even for small applied V , due to 3compound of current occurs in schottky diode.
